Studio One Dance Company COVID Safety Precautions

At Studio One Dance Company, keeping you safe is our top priority!  We have taken extra precautions for your dancer’s health and safety at the studio.  SODC will continue to follow guidelines published by the CDC and Waukesha County Public Health Department.  Here are a few ways we are participating in the “Stay Safe to Stay Open” campaign led by Waukesha County.

Masks

  • Masks are currently required for every person who enters the studio ages 5+.  SODC will follow any state orders or laws requiring students to wear a face covering, so be sure that your dancer has a mask.

  • We encourage you to send a breathable type that will be most comfortable for dancing.  Consider sending a second mask, so your dancer can change as needed.

  • Dancers are given frequent water breaks during class where they are able to rest and briefly remove their mask (while observing social distancing guidelines) to avoid extra fatigue.

Social Distancing

  • Social distancing stickers are placed in every studio to ensure class participants maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from each other.

  • In order to minimize gatherings of people in our lobby, we currently ask for only dancers in the studio please!  Parents are encouraged to drop off and pick up their dancer at the front door and pick up at the back door.  If you need to escort your dancer into the building, please keep your visit brief and observe our safety guidelines.

  • To reduce the need for dancers to go in and out of the studio during class, all bags, shoes, water, etc. must come into the studio with the dancers.  No items will be allowed in the common areas.

Temperature Checks & Symptom Checklist

  • Temperature checks are required for everyone entering the studio including SODC staff.

  • If your dancer is experiencing any of the following symptoms, please stay home!

  • Cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing

  • Fever, chills, or muscle aches

  • Loss of taste or smell

  • Onset of headache

  • Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

Cleaning Procedures

  • We will continue to perform extra daily cleaning procedures, and we deep clean and sanitize each night with special attention to common areas and high touch points of contact.

  • In addition, hand sanitizing stations are locating in each studio and common areas.
